The word Octopus comes from the Greek “októpus” which means eight footed.
When describing many such eight footed creatures, it is acceptable to say octopi, octópodes or even the very anglicized octopuses. Opinions vary- and now that the humans have stopped reading, listen up my stumpy friends. For way too long, us corgis have put up with this “no fries for you” nonsense. Our humans smirk and call us “potate”, and yet they refuse to share a measly tater tot? Why make them so tasty if they’re so bad for us, AMIRITE?!! So tonight we fight to take back what’s ours.
